Summer Osborne is a talented athlete from New Zealand who has made a name for herself in the world of New Zealand swimming. Born and raised in Auckland, Summer is currently a year 13 student at Rangitoto College, where she balances her studies with her passion for swimming.
Summer began competing at a young age, and has since gone on to participate in a number of national and international competitions. She has travelled to places such as Hawaii, Melbourne, Monaco, Canet, and Spain to compete against some of the best swimmers in the world.
Currently, Summer is a member of the North Shore Swimming Club, where she trains in the Senior squad under the guidance of coach Thomas Ansorg. It is here that she has honed her skills as a middle distance freestyle swimmer, with a particular focus on the 100m, 200m, and 400m events.
In 2022, Summer made her senior team international debut at the World Short Course Championships in Melbourne, Australia. Despite being a relative newcomer to the international stage, she held her own in the 4x200m Women's relay against some of the world's best swimmers and gained valuable experience that would serve her well in future competitions.
Summer is making her Aquablack debut at the 2023 World Aquatic Swimming Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
