Tupou Neiufi, a New Zealand Paralympian, has competed at two Paralympic games, two commonwealth games and multiple World Championships. 

Tupou holds an impressive swimming resume that holds an abundance of medals, topping the list is her Paralympic Gold Medal in the 100m Backstroke at the 2021 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Tupou trains at the Pukekohe Swimming Club under the guidance of her coach Sheldon Kemp.

Tupou Neiufi is a New Zealand para swimmer who specialises in the 100m backstroke. 

Tupou was first identified by Paralympics New Zealand in 2011 as part of the Para Swimming Talent Identification programme. Since then, she has become a staple on international podiums in her main event - the 100m Backstroke. Tupou trains at the Pukekohe Swimming Club under the guidance of her coach Sheldon Kemp.

Tupou's International campaign began in 2016 when she earned a spot on the New Zealand Paralympic Team for Rio 2016, where she achieved a 7th place in the Women's 100m Backstroke S9. Notably, she was part of the most successful New Zealand Paralympic Team to date, which amassed an impressive 21 medals across 12 individual medalists in Rio 2016, including 9 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze medals. Furthermore, Tupou made history by winning New Zealand's first gold medal of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in the Women's 100m Backstroke S8.

Tupou officially received her numbered Paralympic pin (#201) as part of The Celebration Project in Auckland in May 2019.

After successfully participating in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and securing a 6th place in the Women's 100m Backstroke S9. Four years later, she represented the NZ Team at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, earning a silver medal in the 100m backstroke S8. Building on her achievements, Tupou also claimed a well-deserved silver medal in the Women's 100m Backstroke S8 at the World Para Swimming Championship following her debut in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

In November 2021, Tupou was named the inaugural Ambassador for the John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation, a leadership role with a mission to empower thousands of young people by providing opportunities to embrace healthy and active lifestyles, as well as guiding them towards involvement in sports and physical recreation.
